This book is an attempt to correct the oversight of the routes that freedom seekers used for escape from the bonds of slavery in Delaware that had not been documented. The book is drawn mostly from works published in the 19th century, such as the autobiography of Frederick Douglass, revised twice, William Still's Underground Railroad Records and Sarah Bradford's two books on Harriet Tubman. This book may serve as a guide to further research found from family traditions and keepsake documents.
