Gifts & Bequests

Your gifts to the Historic Odessa Foundation are used to support the general operation of the Foundation, including the restoration, preservation and protection of the Historic Odessa property, buildings and collection. In addition, the Foundation conducts a variety of community programs and events that inspire school children and inform the general public about its history.

Corporations and businesses value and strengthen the mission of HOF by sponsoring exhibitions or events within Delaware’s untouched Colonial Village. Odessa is comprised of Six historic buildings, nearly 70 acres of bucolic landscape, an outstanding collection of household furnishings and decorative arts combined with programs and tours that bring our 18th century village to life. Because the Corbit-Sharp house remained in the Corbit family until the mid-20th century, we know an exceptional amount about the home's history and furnishings. Many pieces on display are original to the house, including this chest of drawers in the guest bedroom.
