Family Flag Day

Celebrate Flag Day during our nation’s Semiquincentennial by joining us for family activities from 10am-3pm on Sunday, June 14th.

Visitors can explore:

  • Patriotic treats - Decorate sugar cookies in shades of red, white and blue to create delicious sweets.
  • Writing cards - Wish happy birthday to America or write ideas you have for the future of our country using markers and red, white, and blue decorations.
  • Bookmarks - Books were treasured in the 18th-century. Create bookmarks using patriotic colors and designs.
  • Flag Pennant - It’s Flag Day! Color a U.S.A. flag pennant to symbolize American pride.
  • Visit the Collins-Sharp House to understand how people in the 18th century would have created hearth-cooked colonial meals.
