EXHIBIT: My Cup Of Tea: A Collection of Teapots
The Historic Odessa Foundation, steeped in history, is delighted to exhibit a private collection of over 225 teapots, on display for the first time, at the National Historic Register, Wilson-Warner House. The My Cup of Tea exhibit, on show from Tuesday, June 3 to Sunday, August 24, 2025, expresses one teapot collector’s thirty-year fondness and appreciation of the little stout object that shows off its handle and spout.
The cupboards, tables, and sideboards in the historic home, brimming with a wide variety of teapots, represent many cultures, times and places which include the traditional to the exotic, the petite to the bulbous, the functional to the decorative, and the antique to the contemporary. The collection also represents pots created from many well-known ceramic factories and makers. If you think your mother or grandmother had an abundant collection of teapots, wait until you see this remarkable collection. Don’t be a “tempest in a teapot” and miss out on this steaming hot teapot exhibit!
Please attend a Tea Reception on Thursday, June 26, 6-8 pm at the HOF Visitor Center. Please RSVP your ability to join us.
