EXHIBIT: American Samplers by the Delaware Valley Historic Sampler Guild
View historically inspired needlework samplers stitched by members of The Delaware Valley Historical Sampler Guild at the National Historic Register Bank Building Visitor Center from Tuesday, October 27th to Thursday, December 31st. The Guild is an educational needlework group that formed in 2000 to promote the art of historic and contemporary sampler making, pursue the study of sampler history, and contribute to the education and preservation of antique needlework samplers. The over 250 members representing 33 states have donated over $40,000 to museums and historical societies for conservation of historic samplers and related projects. Continue celebrating America’s semiquincentennial and the holiday season by attending this historically inspired American sampler exhibit.
Attend a reception on Wednesday, November 11 from 6-8 pm to view the sampler exhibit and to socialize with members of the Guild along with HOF members and the community.
Please RSVP to Jennifer at 302-378-4119.
