Dog Agility Event: Learn. Play. Connect.
Bring your experienced or inexperienced canine friend to an introductory dog agility event set up in the backyard of the National Historic Register Wilson Warner House where participants learn some of the basics on how to build basic obedience and awareness with their dog. Here participants will note a reproduction dog house similar to the two that David Wilson, Jr., the 19th century Odessa merchant, owned for his dogs. Come try out your command skills and your dog’s willingness to try the course, or just come as a spectator to join in on the fun while watching all the action.
The demonstration and instructions will be led by the dog owner/trainer and dog enthusiast Susan Schmidhauser of Pinewood Kennels, a family-run pet boarding facility situated on 41 acres in Sudlersville, Maryland. Susan has been training dogs for over 2 decades as an instructor and as a competitor at American Kennel Club events.
This family event promises to warm your hearts and kick off the autumn season with a memorable experience for all. Remember to bring your dog treats, water dishes, poo bags, comfortable shoes, portable chair, and your leashed dog. Dog and people friendly dogs of any breed that are at least 2 years old and that possess basic command knowledge are welcome.
