Colonial Dance: Dover English Country Dancers
The Dover English Country Dancers and The Historic Odessa Foundation Request the honor of your presence at their 17th annual Colonial Dance! Members and the public are invited to participate in learning colonial dances that were popular in the 18th Century.
People of all ages, couples, and singles who enjoy music and dance in a spirit of fun and friendship are welcome. Each dance will be taught with a walk-through before it is danced. Dress is casual with comfortable shoes.
Colonial Dance in Odessa, Delaware
Put on your comfortable dancing shoes and festive attire to enjoy a lively evening of English country dance hosted by the Historic Odessa Foundation in partnership with The Dover English Country Dancers. The 17th annual colonial dance will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2026 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the National Historic Register Bank Building or HOF Visitor Center at the corner of 2nd and Main Streets in Odessa.
Members of both the HOF and the DECD and the public are invited to participate in learning English country dances that were popular in late 18th century America. What a better way to continue celebrating America’s Semiquincentennial with dancing the night away! Persons of all ages, couples and singles are welcome to join in on the historical entertainment. Each dance will be taught with walk-through instructions by the dancing master and caller George Tolton of the Heritage County Dancers before it is danced. Don't miss an entertaining and memorable evening!
