Comments
The steamship Saint Paul, launched in Philadelphia in 1895, ran aground in fog on January 25, 1896, at Long Branch, New Jersey. At the time the passenger ship, and its sister ship the St. Louis, were the largest vessels ever constructed in America. It was refloated about a week later. The ship was scrapped in 1923.
