Inscription
"CITY OF CINCINNATI" is in relief in the bowl. Gorham touchmarks, “STERLING”, and “DUHME & CO” are stamped into the back of the handle.

Comments
The handle representing a robed woman with outstretched arms replicates the bronze statue of “The Genius of Water” atop the Tyler Davidson Fountain in Cincinnati. The fountain was dedicated in 1871. The round bowl depicts the Seal of the City of Cincinnati, adopted in 1819.
