Comments

The spoon has a long handle with a Chinese “longevity” character at the tip.  A thick wire with a blossom-like button runs along one side of the handle, which curves gently and suggests a stem.  The bowl is engraved to suggest another blossom, perhaps a cherry blossom or a chrysanthemum.

Another longevity character is used in another Chinese spoon, accession no. 1971.1135.
