Comments
The spoon has a large and deep pierced bowl that allows the user to handle chocolates, nuts, or other confections without touching them with fingers.
The profile bust in the handle appears to be that of William V, Prince of Orange (1748-1806), the last stadholder (i.e., national leader) of the Dutch Republic, which existed from 1588 to 1795. Thereafter, William went into exile in London.
The smaller profile bust in the handle is not identified.
Because of the profile busts on this spoon, it can probably be consider a souvenir spoon.
