Comments
The brightly decorated, tear-shaped bellows is painted red and displays gold and black ornamental painting of a stylized floral basket, fringe around the border and around the air-hole on the back, and along the handle. Brass tacks securing the leather also contribute to the decorative scheme. A cast brass nozzle is attached to the end.
Similar bellows were painted by ornamental painters in several large American cities.
The bellows is pictured in a custom-made metal stand, painted red to match.
