Condition Notes
Strap hinges in the lower case have been added over evidence of rectangular leaf hinges. The upper case door hinges include two three-finger and four five-finger hinges, indicating that at least the four five-finger hinges are modern replacements. The three-finger hinges may be replacements using older hinges that have been altered to fit original hinge plate recesses cut into the wood. The box locks in the right-hand doors of the upper and lower cases have modern locks installed over evidence of earlier ones. Key holes have been added to each door. Some mortises in the joinery of the doors have split. The lover left door panel has an open split.
