Comments
The bench is formed by two shaped ends into which a board seat is tenoned. Each end has two tenons, the ends of which are rounded. Wood pegs driven in from the sides secure each tenon.
The bench is flimsy and structurally incapable of regular use as a bench. It was likely made to add a decorative accent to a colonial interior.
All surfaces of the bench are painted a reddish brown.
