Making a Book with Japanese Binding
Do you or friends or family like to keep a journal, a trip log, or special event photo album? How about making your own original Christmas gift for that artistic child or relative? This is a simple-to-make, 5 3/4 x 4 ½ inch forty-page book, sewn together with a decorative cover in the manner of 2000-year-old Japanese binding. Make it personal using your own painted, collaged, or paste-paper. Or opt for store-bought marbled papers and decorative paper: a large variety of papers available from the teacher’s ‘stash’. Bring your lunch and any special materials you want to use. Tools provided.
Fee $75; reservations are limited! Participants must be 14 years or older.
