Comments

This tall, colorless, ovoid-shaped piece of glass stands on a heavy disk foot with a solid, flat bottom. The neck flares outward, and the rim has been ground smooth, perhaps to fit a lid of some kind or for a mount, such as for a lamp.  Reliable information about what this object was intended to be is not available.  It may have been a vase or a lamp base.  A suggestion as made that it was an apothecary jar, but that seems unlikely.
