Comments
This aubergine or purple manganese decorated tile fragment was removed from the Long Room of the Corbit Sharp House by Henry L. Lindsey, who oversaw its renovation for H. Rodney Sharp. The work began in 1938 and continued into the 1940s. Its removal from that room documents the presence of such decorative tiles in the house. The tiles are painted freehand in purple with blank accents.
