Comments

The three assembled and mismatched glass canisters exhibit different mold characteristics as well as tints in the glass, suggesting that they originated in different places, although at similar times.  Canister 1979.165.1 has a noticeably green tint, and the pattern of the three-part mold used to make the lid differs.  Canisters .2 and .3 are similar to each other, but .2 only has the manufacturer’s name molded into the side.

The Franklin Manufacturing Company of Richmond, Virginia, has not been identified.
