Comments

The tea kettle has a round, ovoid body with a sharp edge at the shoulder.  The disk-shaped lid has a flat dome with a brass finial and ring.  The C shaped strap handle is hinged at each end.  The rivets holding the hinge tab are made of copper.  The goose-neck shaped spout has a hinged cover.  The body is seamed in front.  A separate piece of copper is held onto the bottom by soldered "dovetail" tabs that lean in one direction, rather than being positioned at right angles.  The inside of the kettle is coated in tin.
