Comments
This spoon features the Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge. Its construction was begun in 1903. The exterior was completed in 1917; the interior took another ten or so years to finish. A bell tower, not shown in the image, was begun about 1940 and not completed until 1953. This building history establishes date boundaries for manufacture of the spoon. Its design embodies hints of the art deco style.
