Comments

The spoon handle shows the old watch tower built onto a corner of Fort Marion, a late 17th century star-shaped fort originally called Castillo de San Marcos in St. Augustine.

The spoon is clearly stamped with the Greenleaf & Crosby marks.  An identical spoon at Historic New England, accession no. 2016.64.6.43, is identified as made by Gorham Manufacturing Co. in 1890, although their several touchmarks are not evident.
