Comments

The spoon has double-twist handle with a sphere at the end.  The bowl shows an imaginary representation of San Francisco Bay with a setting sun behind a sailboat and a three-story building to the left.  (Compare this image to spoon 1971.1085.)

George Shreve founded the Shreve Jewelry Company in 1852.  After his death in 1893, his son incorporated the business as Shreve and Co. in 1894.

The initials on the back of the bowl are unidentified.
