“SALMON / PORTLAND” is in the bowl. “OREGON” is on the handle with “1859” below a shield incorporating “THE UNION” at the handle tip.

Comments
The spoon celebrates the entrance of Oregon into the United States as the 33rd state in 1859. The handle tip shows an American eagle above a shield in which a banner proclaims “THE UNION,” all above the year 1859. Below is a frog under an umbrella. The bowl features a large fish identified as a salmon.
