Inscription
“Inverness” is in the bowl. Hallmarks stamped into back of the handle include an anchor and lion for Birmingham, a "y" date letter for 1898, and a “J • F” within a rectangle with clipped corners.

Comments
The handle tip is modeled as an antlered stag, presumably a Scottish red deer. The handle is twisted and attaches to a gold-washed bowl with “Inverness” written in it.
The Birmingham silversmith is not positively identified.
