Comments
The bowl of the spoon has a relief image of the Christ child in swaddling, taken from a stucco relief made by Luca Della Robbia in 1463-1466 for Brunelleschi's Hospital of the Innocents in Forence.
The spoon has a slender shaft, characteristic of European souvenir spoons.
This spoon uses the same die as 1971.1091 except for the tip of the handle.
