"BLUE MOUNTAIN HOUSE / BLUE MT. MD.” is across the bowl. “A” with maker touchmarks and “STERLING” with “Wm. BARTHMAN” is stamped into the back of the handle shaft.

Comments
The spoon celebrates the Blue Mountain House in Pen Mar Park, Maryland. The 300-room resort hotel, shown in the spoon bowl image, was built in 1883 for visitors and guests from Washington, DC, Baltimore, and other urban areas. The hotel burned in 1913.
