The saucer accompanying this small coffee cup is part of a larger set that includes saucers, accession nos. 2011.74.6 through 2011.74.14. The coffee cup is superficially similar to accession nos. 2011.74.6 through 2011.74.8, but the decoration, including the borders, differs, and it exhibits no gilding. The body also appears whiter. Unlike the saucer, its decoration is not characteristically Nanking. The saucer has a gilded rim edge. The coffee cup is from another service.
