Comments
The wall sconce has a long, vertical back with rolled edges and is surmounted by a nearly circular shape with crimped edges and a hole for hanging the sconce. Two pairs of beads created by bending the sheet of iron run vertically and reinforce the back. A low gallery at the bottom surrounds a candle socket that was originally soldered in the center but has since broken loose.
The pattern of crimping around the top and the manner of creating the reinforcing vertical beads or ribs in the back depart from most other examples. The soldering looks relatively fresh.
