Comments
This saucer, without its accompanying cup, has a gilt-edge scalloped rim framing the densely and well-executed painted decoration showing a conventional Chinese composition of buildings, a bridge over a waterway, a boat in the distance near another landmass, and birds flying. The border underneath the rim edge is among the more complex renderings of this type of design.
