Condition Notes

The body appears to have been repaired at the handles and rim and then colored, which has now discolored. The lid and body have darkened.

Comments

This small oval bowl with a lid and applied handles at each end is shaped like a much larger soup tureen. The lid has a molded finial.  A cut-out at the edge of one end of the lid indicates that the tureen was intended to be used with a ladle, likely for serving sauces at the table.
