Comments
The platter or large shallow bowl is colorfully decorated with five repeats around a central circular motif or roundel. This center image shows a vase-like object below three flowers. Around this motif, but still within the body of the platter, are five identical floral sprays. The outer band, painted on the rim, has a baroque scrolled border with a diapered ground of a red lattice and four blue dots in each diamond. The combination of colors, central motif, and overall composition suggests a Dutch origin.
