Comments
The densely printed, deep blue plate has an image of a city identified on the back as Buenos Aires, Argentina. The plate rim is also richly decorated with flowers. The potter has not been identified, but he conformed to the styles of the day in creating a view with people in the foreground, water, and the urban landscape in the distance. Exotic trees on the left add interest.
