Comments

The lantern has a cylindrical body capped by a conical top, onto which a strap handle is fastened. Three rectangular glass panes are set within folded metal frames that project from the cylindrical body.  One of the frames is hinged to the body to allow access to the single candle inside.  Each pane has two protective bars across the front.  The top has some linear and dot piercings arranged in uneven rows intended to exhaust heat and smoke from the candle.
