Comments

This baluster-shaped container has a wide mouth with a rolled lip.  The foot has straight sides.  A strap handle is attached to one side with copper rivets.  The sheet copper used to make the body meets in a dovetailed edge beneath the handle where it is brazed.

The purpose and origin of this object shape is not clear.  It is likely an adaptation of earlier objects, materials, and craft.
