Comments

The simple jar has slightly rounded shoulders and tapers slightly toward the base.  A thick square rim runs around the top and suggests a general time of manufacture for the jar.  The jar is glazed inside and out in a dark, almost black color.  It covers the body almost entirely introducing some doubt into identification of the material.
