The jar has one small flake from the edge of the foot ring.

Comments

The bulbous jar has a thick lip at the rim.  A narrow foot ring has been shaped with a sharp implement that left a score ring in the middle of the foot profile.  The dark-brown colored glaze exhibits slight iridescence.

The jar, thrown on a wheel, is slightly lopsided.  An oval blemish in the glaze at the shoulder was likely caused by this pot touching another during the glaze firing.
