Comments

The candleholder is a cylindrical socket attached to a square, slightly dished drip pan.  The candleholder attaches to a five-part extension arm made of strap iron sections riveted together.  The end section forms a Y around the end of a square piece of wood, rounded on the end "handle" portion.

There is no known pre-1900 counterpart to this object.  Its design and materials suggest that it was made in the 20th century.
