Comments
This flat-bottomed dish with high sides, called a deep dish and probably used for baking, has a molded outside bottom of flattened ribs emanating from the center. A thick rim around the dish strengthens that susceptible area. The inside of the dish is coated in a white glaze, probably to enhance cooking attributes. A clear glaze covers the entire object. The deep stress crack running through the dish likely occurred from use in a hot oven.
