Comments
The pair of cups and matching saucers displays pink luster decoration. Pink lusterware was among the most popular of Staffordshire ceramics and was very popular in the United States. These cups and saucers feature broad bands of pale pink with repeating abstract luster motifs. A second band, rendered in pink, green, and orange, shows a floral vine composed of alternating carrot-like motifs and tendril coils. Striping accents each form. The cups are handless and have a slight flare at the rim.
