Comments
The pink lusterware creamer or cream pitcher is rectangular with round corners. The rim transitions into a wide spout with a C shaped handle opposite. The sides of the body are landscape-painted in shades of pink. These stylized scenes were quickly executed by the decorator and suggest vague sources in Chinese porcelain decoration. The creamer stands on a base with molded gadrooning highlighted with dabs of pink luster. A stylized vine encircles the top of the body, above a narrow pink-luster band and below the pink-luster banded rim.
Pink lusterware was among the most popular Staffordshire ceramics and enjoyed great popularity in the United States.
