Condition Notes

The cow bell has two ragged holes on one side and a third hole on the other side.  The holes were likely made by repeated strikes of the clapper.

Comments

The cow bell is made of single iron sheet folded at the top.  The narrow triangular sides overlap and are secured by a single rivet near the bottom.  The clapper, now missing, was suspended from an iron wire, itself hanging from a strip of leather attached to the looped underside of the separate, applied handle.
