Condition Notes
The pair of candlesticks was electrified. Beads of solder have been added at each corner of the base to provide space for the electric wire.

Comments
The candlesticks have a tall, narrow square, fluted column that stands on a square knop above a reel, a round knop, and a dome atop a square, stepped base. The long cylindrical candle socket at the top holds a removable bobeche. The pair of sticks is very similar to a pair marked by George Grove (died 1768) of Birmingham. See fig. 80 in Jean M. Burks, Birmingham Brass Candlesticks (1986).
The candlestick shafts are not cast in halves.
