This candlestick is similar to accession nos. 1959.3778 and 1971.795, which also have a bulbous swelling at the base of a columnar shaft, a wide bobeche, and a domed base.  However, key differences include a general lack of definition in the ring decorations on this candlestick and the shape of its base, which is rectangular rather than square.  These variations indicate that it was made significantly later than the others.
