Comments

This very tall candlestick varies a common design.  It has a simple rolled cylinder shaft with the seam at the site of a side ejector place just below the top, the site of a simple drip pan.  The shaft, however, is some 6 inches taller than usual.  To stabilize this greater height, the base is a sealed truncated pyramid enclosing sand that provides needed weight.  Aside from the unusual height, this candlestick has faint horizontal ribbing on the shaft.  It may have been a by-product of rolling the metal, because it is almost unnoticeable and appears not to be an intended decoration.
