Comments
This “hogscraper”-type candlestick, so-called for its similarity in appearance to tools used to remove bristles from pigskins, is finer than most because of the decorative brass ring or collar around the middle of the shaft. The shaft itself is formed of rolled sheet iron, seamed at the site of a side-ejector. A drip pan at the top has a tab handle to allow the candlestick to be easily moved. The shaft attaches to a simple, slightly domed base.
