Comments
The candlestick, which is cast in halves and brazed together, has a slightly tapered candle socket with a thick ring that tapers towards the top. It has no bobeche to capture candle drippings. The socket stands atop an inverted baluster, itself above another inverted baluster. The shaft stands on an octagonal base with an octagonal lipped overlay.
This candlestick appears to be a mate to accession no. 1959.3557 and is similar to a pair, accession no. 1959.3544.
