Inscription

“Mary C. Wilson” is printed onto the front of the card.  “A few of these are larger than the others, / but the quality is the same. – / The back stand? Was by a mischeveous / little boy, upset and defaced short[?] / of your cards” is written faintly in pencil on the back of the card.

Comments

This calling card bears the name of Mary Corbit Wilson (1811-1880).  In 1847 she married Daniel Corbit (1796-1877) and became Mary W. Corbit.
