Comments

The wooden bucket is made of eleven staves.  Two opposing staves are higher and have a hole drilled in them for some kind of handle, now missing.  As with most buckets, the staves hold a circular bottom board in place.  Three wood straps or hoops, perhaps made of hickory, encircle the base and another three are near the top.  Each group of three now has some modern nails added to them that slightly reposition them on the bucket.

The bucket is painted green. Inside, a tight fitting sheet iron liner painted red protects the inside walls of the bucket.
