Comments

This wrought-iron broiler has a rectangular, fixed grille made of seven bars peened to end bars that angle downward to become legs.  The bottoms of the legs curl outward to become feet.  A long flat handle with a large hanging hole is attached to the middle of one end bar.

Broilers were historically called gridirons.

The broiler is similar to accession no. 1959.3849.  The two broilers exhibit slight size differences as well as features of the handle and farthest end bar.
