Comments

The pewter basin has a wide molded rim with a score line creating a bead along the outside.  The inside of the bowl has an incised line near the booge where the sidewall curves up from the flat bottom.  Chatter marks from skimming, a process of initial smoothing of the basin after it was removed from the bronze mold in which it was cast, are visible on the underside of the rim and the outside bottom.
